Blargh. Lots of self-hating women whining and thinking stupid thoughts and occasionally having decidedly untitillating sex. When did smut get so soul-suckingly boring? Don't pad the stories with insipid characters, and maybe they'll do something a little more inspired in the sack (or elsewhere).
I want to say I liked "Mrs. Fox" best, but I suspect a girl's favorite story might reveal which particular fantasy scenario appeals to her most. :)I quite liked the opening of Mirror On the Wall though: Once upon a time, in a kingdom known far and wide for its beautiful women, there lived a sorcere...
this is a DNF for me. the first story is an "erotic" retelling of Beauty and the Beast, but it's not that erotic and it's not much of a retelling. it's more like a summary of the times Beauty had sex with the Beast and man did she love it. i was excited to read this story, but i've read better.
short and sweet, an interesting adult take on the classic fairy tale. It's likely not something I'd read again, but I enjoyed the time I spent reading it.
Having not read the first book Enchanted, I picked this up with the expectation that it would be naughty fairy tales...something fun and steamy at the same time.Maybe I expected the book to be more light hearted than it was, especially with the beautiful, ethereal type cover. These tales are pulled f...
'Mind-altering drugs were used in the making of this book' -that's the disclaimer that should be printed on the very first page of Enchanted Dreams.***SPOILERS BELOW***The first story Enchanted Forest especially says "psychedelic" because no sane person would use a tree root as a dildo. Or plants. O...
Is it just me, or are these stories longer then the others? Enchanted Forest: Not a bad story, but I'm still not sure how she ended up in that forest.Disenchantment: I really liked her ideas about relationships. The end wasn't something that I was expecting, but it was different, to say the least.Dy...
Yawn, mostly. I found the fairy tale style of narrative cold and emotionally disengaging. I can't even bring myself to tag this as smut, because it felt about as smutty as a biology textbook.
I didn't like this book as much as Enchanted: Erotic Bedtime Stories For Women. I didn't know all of the fairy tales that these stories were based off of and some of them seemed too long to me. Still, not a bad collection overall.
I wasn't expecting this to have so many feminist views in it, not a complaint, mind you but it wasn't something that I was expecting. Not all of the stories had a feminist undertone to them, but more of them did than didn't. The concept of taking fairy tales and making them more adult isn't a new on...
