Not only was this book well written, with elegant language and setting, but it was exciting, breathtaking, and original, too. This story is about a cheerleader named Isobel, who is assigned to work with goth boy outcast Varen on an English project. Varen decides that they are going to research Edgar ...

I forgot just how much I love this book until rereading it. Varen Nethers is just... Nevermore is based around Edgar Allan Poe's work which is a serious plus for me because who doesn't like the gothic romance and horror stories he wrote? Our MC is Isobel Lanley, the popular, blond haired and blue e...

I didn't like Nevermore. No, scratch that. I hated Nevermore.Reading the blurb, I figured this book would be awesome. I am a E.A. Poe fangirl, and hearing all the hype about this book made me want it that much more. I thought the concept was interesting- but it wasn't pieced together well enough for...

Man! Why did somebody not warn me that this book doesn’t end here? That the most MAJOR issue of the tale is unresolved? That the reader would be left somewhat sad and desolate at the end and almost devoid of hope? I raged on through to the end, desperate to see Isobel conquer, yet found a door slamm...

I have to admit I wouldn't have looked twice at this book if it weren't for the glowing reviews it received from friends. Look at that cover! I know, I know, don't judge a book by its cover. On the other hand, when I found out Edgar Allan Poe's works inspired this novel, I was immediately intrigued....

At first glance (and for the first ~100 pages) this seems to be your typical “popular girl is forced to work with unpopular boy, they surprisingly fall for each other and, against all odds, manage to overcome adversity (social standings, football playing boyfriend, etc.) to get together” type of sto...

I wanted to love [b:Nevermore|7129598|Nevermore (Nevermore, #1)|Kelly Creagh|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1294381693s/7129598.jpg|7391743], I really did; to be fair for the most part, I did. But unfortunately I think I'd set my expectations too high and in all honesty, I didn't like certain aspects ...

I didn't actually finish this book, but I read over halfway and got past the 300 page point, and since that's as long as some shorter YA books, I decided I was far enough to stop reading and still count this book. It's not that it was necessarily bad - it never really made me angry or anything like ...

A little change of pace. My reviews are going to be here and here only from now on. I'm not deleting the blog, just abandoning it as a failed experiment. Hell with it. Why not keep on. It's there - if I'm not deleting, might as well repost. The reason this one lands at 3 stars instead of 4 comes from...

So, what did I think of this book?To some extent, I think it was good. I was completely caught up in the story. I liked the idea that got the story going, the paranormal feel of it. Don't get me started on the amount of suspense I had to endure last night. Alone. In my room. Everybody else was sleep...
