I finished this book in one night, I am not kidding. When I ordered this on amazon a couple weeks ago, I didn't expect myself to finish the 543 page paperback in one night! But I did, wow. The cover did not have me thinking great things. I mean, he looks like he could be a starving (look how hollow ...
This and other reviews can be found on Reading Between ClassesCover Impressions: Ok, the font is nice and I like the overlay of writing. HOWEVER - the emo dude on the cover ruined ANY chance of my having warm feelings for Varen. The Gist: Vapid cheerleader is paired up with (gasp!) dark, emo dude fo...
I love the idea and all of the Poe, it's very unique. The story was a bit slow, here and there, I skimmed portions. I get the need for build up, but this seemed like there was just too much. Overall, it was enjoyable I will be reading the other books, but probably not until the third one is out.
If you were to ask me what my favorite YA novel would be I'd scream Nevermore at the top of my poor lungs. Its like this book was made for me. Its huge, the cover is breathtaking, the characters are all basically likeable; even Brad has some good moments. I also love the gothic tone that this book h...
I don't like Poe, Horror, or emo boys and yet Nevermore was the book for me! I couldn't put it down. The fantastic characterizations, fast paced plot and unique world all make it great.
I was not going to write a review for Nevermore because it was one of those books that kept me reading mouth open, eyes wide, fingers stuck not able to type in any ideas. Then again, I felt like writing a review would push you guys into giving this book a try. Which you should totally do, by the way...
What I liked:Firstly let me say that the blurb didn’t make me warm up to this novel. Nevermore had the potential to be incredible, but also incredibly bad. First of all it is the first part of another YA series grrrr. Unfinished series to add (double grrrr but don’t let your dog hear you). Secondly ...
So, Nevermore isn’t a newer book. It was published a few years ago, and anyone who reads a lot of YA has probably either read it or at least heard of it by now. I’d actually been interested in picking it up for quite some time, but decided to wait. Something wasn’t really clicking with me every time...
“You're a dream. Like everything else.” It's been ages since I've finished this book and I still don't know what to say. I don't think anything I can say for this book will be enough. This is one of the most unique paranormals I've read. You've got all sorts of Pnr out there but what about books wh...
