Loved the connection to Eve's past, even though it was fairly predictable. Plus, LOVED the scene where Eve was counseling the little girl she rescued - it's everything that makes her who she is. Plus, lots of Roarke. Oh, Roarke...yum. :)
I love this series, but this book felt off to me. Maybe it's because it is the first I have read instead of listening to the audiobook. The dialog didn't feel as smooth and Eve cursed a lot more frequently than I remember in other books. As far as the story, the plot and pace were spot on as usual.
