The humor is still in full force, but the overemphasis on Zeb and Jolene’s wedding made me incredibly annoyed. I am not huge on weddings in the first place so that may be the issue, but I simply did not need to know every drama filled moment of a wedding that wasn’t the main characters.Jane put up w...
Yes, don't faint... I have read 2 books in order! *gets out smelling salts* However, this book, 2nd in a series, can be read as a stand-a-lone. Although, for those that like to read in order, it's nicer to do so since you will have a better feel for the characters in this book.So what can I say abou...
Clever dialogue and a lively sense of humor make this book seriously good fun. Vampires, werewolves, ghosts and a geriatric ghoul all find a home in Half Moon Hollow, and they aren't even the scariest residents in town.
This series is funny and cute. However I can't muster the enthusiasm to give the installments I've read so far more than 3-stars. The biggest thing is that, well, the story wasn't about much. Jane's best friend Zeb is marrying Jolene, a werewolf and this book is mostly about the wedding shenaniga...
A really fun read. Jane has a great sense of 'snark' and the ring of friends that she's gathered around her play against that snark beautifully. Really outstanding dialogue and great comedy throughout the story. This book didn't have a murder mystery like the first, but the plot is well-written and ...
Check out my other listens at Eargasms Audiobook ReviewsAnother awesome book in the series!! I really wanna move to Half Moon Hollow!!Mamma Ginger was a trip in this one! It sounded like a wedding I would want to be a part of just to have a front row seat to the chaos!!Can not wait for more of this ...
Sadly, this one wasn't as funny as the first. I still love Jane and Gabriel, but the secondary characters were all whiny and annoying in this one. I really hoped the book would end with one of Jane's horrible relatives getting their comeuppance, but the ending just kind of fizzled. Don't get me w...
Another hysterical addition to the series. Although the antics of Jane's sister and grandma are immature and annoying they still manage to be funny. Also, the plot was a bit predictable but kept my attention. Was surprised the Jeanine subject wasn't explained. Maybe in the next book.
There is some action, some mystery, some romance and a lot of smart humor...nothing too over-the-top well, except for the humor which is laugh out loud at times. I laughed a lot, and even cried a little
