When we read horror book, or watch horror movie, at the beginning we usually meet characters in their normal, everyday life. We watch them ignoring a weird sound or strange person and we think, “run, you are in danger” - because we know it's a horror book or movie and we expect something really evil...
I honestly don't have much to say about this, which is fortunate because nothing I can think of to say is actually good or kind. The prose was stilted, the dialogue atrocious, and the grammar questionable. I can actually overlook all of these issues sometimes if the story or stories are good enoug...
