Series: The Wolves Chronicles (#3)
I bought this because: It had a pink edward gorey cover. featuring a whale. and the word "nantucket". the lightly wacky adventure inside was definitely worthy, for the character names alone.
The first Aiken I ever read. Interestingly, it’s one of the few novels in the series which I feel can really stand on its own–the complicated backstory of Dido and Simon and all the rest doesn’t come into it except very marginally. [Mar. 2010]
