Borrowed this one from a coworker. It was a great story about four strangers who become the best of friends in Greece. I just wish that David had found happiness at the end of the book, like Fiona, Thomas and Elsa did.
One of Maeve Binchy's strengths is characterizations, and this one is no exception. There's no plot to speak of, but you really get to know the main characters for better or worse. It's a good comfort read and in general a charming book.
Very sweet. And I'm not being sarcastic or anything. I like sweet. My favorite food is cake with lots of icing, but in a pinch, I'll eat sugar cubes like a horse.
