I enjoyed Tanya Huff's Victoria Nelson story. Jane Lindskold's story, though not connected to her series, reminded me why I like her writing and should read some more of her Firekeeper Saga. Most of the other stories were enjoyable.

Only read the Butcher story, wasn't interested in the rest of the stories. Butcher's Dresden Files story was good.

The reader's taste very seldom meshes exactly with the editor's, or the editor has had to make some compromises along the way. Firebirds is substantially above average. The book is helped, of course, by hav...
