2.5 starsFirst of all I want to say that I loved that the author wrote a lesbian romance without any "message" or issues surrounding the characters being, in fact, gay. It was a breath of fresh air for a relationship between two women (or men) to be treated so normally, because guess what? It IS. Ev...

I really enjoyed the story and the writing style of this book. I love the fact that the main character Emi is gay, but that is not the focus of the story; its more of a background type thing, while the main focus was on the movie and Ava and finding out what her history is and the friendships that ...

Loved it. Gorgeous writing, lovely story, and characters motivated by a love for storytelling. The final pages are brilliantly insightful and brought the whole story home. Definitely recommended.

This is possibly one of the my favorite reads so far. Everything Leads to You is about self discovery, and finding out what real love is.Emi is an extremely likeable character. I love that she has a strong relationship with her family and friends. She’s strong even when she doesn’t think she is. I al...

Everything Leads to You starts with this modern noir feel of bestfriends on the trail left behind by a silver screen icon, then shifts into something even more quiet, as the mystery of a letter and its contents, are pushed aside and become more about this new person and the draw she has for Emi. So,...

I actually finished this around last week, but I didn't have time to write a review until now. Even though it was a sad story, it had a good ending. I liked Caitlin's friendships with Dylan and Taylor, because it showed Caitlin moving on and accepting Ingrid's death. I appreciated that all the chara...

Meh. It didn't turn out as badly as I thought it would. It has a great emotional pull, but the whole situation is really pathetic and there's not a whole lot of action. And the main character is really dumb and only cares about how girls look, not to mention their band sucks. Anyways. 2.5 stars.

(If you'd like, you can read my pre-review post here on BL, which I'm not putting in the review on my blog. Too personal, too much backstory for why I felt the way I did with this book. But it's there in case you're interested. I think it did more for me than it will for anybody else, but that's oka...

The general story itself was alright, and I liked some of the side characters even if they were one-dimensional at times. But Colby's belief that he was utterly entitled to know everything about Bev was highly irritating, as well as how he kept passive-aggressively shaming her about lying to him in ...

Rating: 3.5 StarsIt is difficult for me to fathom now, looking back, that I considered abandoning this novel many times during its first quarter. The Disenchantments starts out as a dull book, which hardly seems possible as it begins with a group of friends setting on a road trip to make music, but ...
