i have read and re-read this book at least a dozen times, and i expect to always revisit it. today i was talking about how much i love "the laughing man" and how much i still think about it, and how it influences the things i want to write. thank you salinger, for this small book that speaks volumes...
Just to read something written in English. Salinger still doesn't convince me. I'm desperately trying to end the very first 'Story' of this book. Only David Foster Wallace's short stories are more difficult to chew for my weary eyes.Fresh news: I give up
This is my favorite Salinger. Seriously, I loved these stories so much. But I'm afraid to reread them now, because all I'd think is how prescriptions can relieve the suffering of depression, and how in the absence of same Salinger didn't have much to say.
