I just adored this one. I am finding that I completely adore SEP as well. Cal was a dick in the beginning but Jane was a total beyotch--the kind of woman who do crap that gives the rest of womankind a bad name. So, I understood Cal's attitude. However, I was pretty pissed off at him when he woul...

Difficult one for me to rate. Once I got past the horrified reaction I had to Jane's cold-blooded plotting to steal Cal's sperm (which, come to think of it, I might never have fully gotten over), it was a fun enough enemies-to-lovers story. Despite her really morally atrocious actions, Jane was othe...

Odio a Susan Elizabeth Phillips .

I normally really enjoy books by Susan Elizabeth Phillips, and I love books with athletes as heroes, and this book was no exception for me. I don't know why I haven't read this before, but I'm kicking myself for not reading it sooner. I enjoyed Cal and Jane's story. Cal was a huge jerk and deserved ...

This book should come with a surgeon generals warning:This book is hazardous to your sleep. Do NOT start reading this at bedtime. This kept me up all night.SO good! One of my favorite scenes is when Jane first meets Cal, pretending to be a hooker. She tries to seduce him by starting an aerobics routi...

For a book with such an unappealing start this story and its characters really wound their way into my heart. Our characters are Cal & Jane, he's a CS football player who is afraid of getting older and dates women too young for him, and she is a physicist who yearns for a child of her own. As with m...

So reading the other reviews, it appears people really didn't like Cal. There must be something about the format because I loved him. I listened to it, and Anna Fields made him very likable. I can imagine that if I read the book, I might think he's an insensitive prick, but the way Anna played him, ...

This funny story had an enjoyable plot, sex, and action including a minor secondary romance. Genius physicist Jane wants a baby and picks quarterback Cal to be the father. Sometimes I wondered if Cal was a bit too vindictive but hey he was a pampered sports star and there was sufficient groveling.

I found the hero Cal a little too harsh for my tastes. He represented what I don't like about pro sports players and that whole macho vibe that they can give off. It was wrong what Jane did to him, however he was in the habit of using women, so in some ways it was his karma coming back on him, in my...
