Caution: comments contain spoilers.I like Dean Koontz but I am not a big fan. I don't know if the stories seem too generic or the characters are too standard in my view, but he gets me about 60% of the way there most times. Good read. I'm not so big on supernatural thrillers, but I enjoyed this one. It moves pretty well, despite its length. Well-chaptered, a lot of forks in the plot's road. One or two parts seemed a bit forced. There was some repetition that could have been edited out. But these are minor quibbles.

I really liked Odd Thomas. He is a lovable, tragic, simply sweet young man who sees dead people. I will be reading the next books in the series. I want to know how Odd is doing and if life is treating him any better.

The book is fast-paced, exciting a...

I really liked this book. Odd's narration is so dead-pan and funny you just can't help but like him. This book has it all: great, memorable characters, intense suspense, mystery and humor. Definitely one of koontz's better books. In spite of the bad reviews, I'm really looking forward to reading mor...
