This was supposed to be a mix of horror and humor but the whole thing fell a bit flat for me. I've enjoyed the author's work before but this, his first novel, just did not really come together. Listened to the audio version which was read by Oliver Wyman who did a great job and kept me listening.
This was a very different take on leadership, and one that I wish more companies would consider. The first-person narrator goes to visit an orchestra and, during the visit, starts to see things that the maestro/conductor does that might be helpful to him as a C-level officer. He gets some things wro...

Hot, Flat and Crowded can be translated as climate change, globalization, and population growth. This book is a followup to the author's best-selling The World Is Flat, a book about globalization of business. This book examines how globalization can continue in a way that doesn't doom the world du...
