Let's just say I'm now a super fan of Ilona Andrews. :-)This story was intriguing from the start, and it had all the elements of a good story. Stubborn and strong heroine, determined and handsome male but not too arrogant, awesome and funny side characters in the form of children, and a hateable evi...

A coworker of mine lent me this. It's not the kind of book I usually read, but I ended up enjoying it quite a bit. I loved the chemistry between the hero and heroine, and the worldbuilding was great too.

Mmm, more 3.5 stars I think, but I'm feeling generous. Not convinced that the narrator did this one any favours. However, I love the concept, love the setting, liked the characters, I just found the story a bit heavy on the corn from time to time. Not enough to put me off the rest of the series :-)
