You can find more of my reviews (plus discussions and giveaways) at Christina Reads YA. Ten Likes/Dislikes: 1. (+) Taylor Markham, the protagonist - Oh, Taylor. I really wanted to hug this girl. She can be so abrasive and she has trouble admitting that she needs people and she tends to run or av...

“If I want more, I need to go and get it, demand it, take hold of it with all my might, and do the best I can with it.” This is a difficult book to review. Most books that I rate 5 stars are books that I dread to review because I really think my vocabulary is lacking. I can't say this book was amazi...

So utterly beautiful. I love Melina Marchetta - she is probably my favourite author - so I'm not really sure why I put off reading this. I did try once, a couple of years back, and I got stuck at the confusing beginning and didn't push through. The beginning didn't get me this time, I was able to re...

Let me get this out of the way first:I ♥ YOU JONAH GRIGGS!Okay, moving on…for now.Honestly I didn’t think it was possible to love a book as much as I loved Jellicoe Road! It had been on my radar for a long time but for some reason I just kept putting it off. Well after chatting with a few people abo...

Formal review once I've stopped crying & gushing over the beauty of this book. Worth every single star & easily one of my top 5 favorite books ever.

This was my mystery book that Malissa sent me. I was super excited to dive into it, despite not knowing *anything* about it. I didn't know the title, the author, the description; nothing. The anticipation was killing me.It didn't take long for me to guess the title of the book I was reading, given h...

3.5 Stars. I'm a bit stumped on what to write about this book. It wasn't action packed like The Hunger Games, it didn't consume my entire being while I read it like Okay for Now - it was just GOOD. Good characters, good plot, just good. 418 pages in 3 hours kind of good.

Let me start with what's important: I want a Griggs. I know this akin to saying the protagonist is "hawt," and does nothing for a "critical" review. BUT I'm not being critical right now. This is all envy speaking. When Taylor said she was happy because she had an aunt and a Griggs.. in my heart of...
