This story is executed in a bit of an unconventional way. Non-linear timeline, bare bones characterisation of everyone but the narrator, major plot elements delivered in a dense, factual way ... It's the kind of story where you are thrown into the proverbial deep end and asked to swim or drown. It's...
MM Good Book Reviews - Thommie's Books
4 HeartsReview written for MM Good Book Reviews This is a classic “enemies to lovers” themed book, yet there is nothing clichéd about it. The basic setting of this series, for this is the first book in the Borders War Series, is simple enough in its complexity. The world as we know it has collapse...

S.A. McAuley dragged me through unholy political waters, took me wading through the murky depths of deception, and left me hanging by my fingertips on the ledge of the abyss that is the coming revolution. And not only that, but has also taken complete control of my ever-obsessive need for more. One B...

The worldbuilding confused the hell out of me at first, really. But I loved the dystopian scenery. I wish this book was not so short...And I can't wait for the revolution!

3.5 starsDespite the fact I was lost for a good portion of the book, I LOVED IT! Ha!"One Breath, One Bullet" is about a dystopian world at war and the power struggle of opposing factions. It has political intrigue, a futuristic setting, and 2 MC’s , enemies-to-lovers, figuring out their place in it ...

An extremely good (sci-fi/fantasy/futuristic) storyline of a time 500+ years into our future, where you can kill people with sonic-rifles, which have the bonus of killing you on the inside, without all the mess of blood and gore and intestines that usually mark the nitty-gritty facts of war. You jus...

5 Stars - KAPOW!! You could say S.A. McAuley has a way with words ... And my God but you’d be right! She has a way of weaving a story that just sucks me in, and holds me tight – right til the end! Leaving me begging for more! I loved her book “Immovable Solitude” and this new book, part of a brand n...
