Relationships are hard work and sometimes it is not easy to stay in love with someone or even keep in touch with an old friend. This novel takes it upon itself to show just that.My biggest fear was that this would be just barely above the usual chick-lit with flat characters and a corny love story a...

I feel I would've enjoyed reading a book simply about Emma more. The (inexplicable) relationship with Dexter is the novel's only real weak point and sadly its only one as well.

The love/friendship of two people, described by the events happening trough the years on the same day. It was a wonderful book, although sometimes the main characters, Emma and Dexter, irritated me slightly. But perhaps this was the author's intention, because they irritated each other too at thos...

Oh holy hell, this book. 5/5 stars is not a rating I give lightly, especially to romances (which I continue, in spite of myself, to try and like less than I do). I borrow my rating system from Cahmeren Ostrich, and a 5/5 rating is not just entertaining or worth a reread; it's "excellent and probably...

One Day is not your typical love story and readers who don't like surprises will not enjoy it. It is a very realistic love story that is very dark at times. It will make you laugh, cry and ponder about missed opportunities in life. It's one of those books where the characters still linger long after...

Why? Just why? I guess this describes my feelings after finishing this book. I was thinking about giving it 3 stars instead of 4, because of the ending, but I must admit I liked the rest of the book enough to give it 4 stars. But just, that ENDING. Why? Why would he do that? Why write an ending like...

Ok, I'm going to be honest. The first few pages didn't get me excited as much as I would have hoped. I almost given up on the book. Then, I remembered how great the movie was, so I pushed myself to keep on reading, not that it needed much effort to begin with. It happened to be the best decision I h...

There will be cloaked spoilers in this review but, to be honest, by this time you have either read this book already or have no intention of reading it. And as I said, the spoilers are cloaked.I won’t pretend that I didn’t enjoy this book. The ‘one day every year’ approach worked in the same way a d...

I liked the movie better. Maybe because I love Anne Hathaway as an actor.
