Different than the movie - really funny and disturbing - mostly written through the American Indian's eyes. Great book. Movie was fantastic too.

another oddly dream-like modern classic. and another one where the misogyny both dates it and makes it hard to take seriously. what's wrong with guys? don't they realize that it's other guys that are really the problem? ah well. still, a good book but not a great one despite its reputation.

I read this for school in my final year, and it was simply fantastic. It beats the movie hands down, is filled with page after page of brilliant quotes...This book is a must read for anyone who enjoys actual literature.
