I have a major love hate-hate relationship with anthologies. They simply almost always disappoint it seems. The best short story in this anthology was Jeaniene Frost's, followed far behind by Charlaine Harris's. I really think Harris should stick to full-length books and stay away from short stories...
This one is a 3.5 for me. I liked it, but there were just a couple that I loved.Charlaine Harris - Two Blondes: Not just a Sookie story, it's a Sookie & PAM story. I love Pam, which made me love this. Pam & Sookie have a "Girls Weekend" at the casinos in Mississippi, where they can gamble, see a sho...
Two Blondes by Charlaine Harris ★★★The boys go fishing by Sarah Smith ★ One for the money by Jeaniene Frost ★★★★ Far across the Caspian Sea by Daniel Stashower ★★★★★ The Innsmouth Nook by A. Lee Martinez ★★Safe and Sound by Jeff Abbott ★★Seeing is believing by L.A. Banks ★★ The perils o...
Here are a few things that I did like about this anthology:1) Each author had a short introductory paragraph outlining their biography and their work. What a great idea. I now have a few authors to look into.2) The vacation theme was kind of fun. I liked all the different takes on vacation stories.3...
I just don't care for anthologies that much, I need more time with the characters. The stories familiar to me I enjoyed, Charlaine Harris, jeannie Frost, Katie MacAlister.. but the others... not so much.
MUCH better anthology than DARK AND STORMY KNIGHTS. Really liked the Sookie story with her & Pam having a weekend in Tunica. Pam doesn't get enough page time in the books! Also liked Jeaniene Frost's Cat & Bones story and A.Lee Martinez's story. It was a bit out there.....like most of his stuff....

I only read the Cat & Bones story by Jeaniene Frost. It was very short at only 34 pages, but was great to have Cat & Bones back again. It makes the wait for Feb. 22nd for This Side of the Grave harder.
