As in the rest of the series, the latest volume in the Thursday Next oeuvre is fast moving, hysterically funny, and amazingly clever, but this time it’s also surprisingly moving. The fictional Thursday Next from the previous sequel is the lead, and in her struggles to save the intrepid real world T...

I love Fforde for his literary genius. He makes my head spin, but in a good way. To my knowledge, there is no other author who can create do many layers while incorporating humor and a bid to popular culture and literary classics. Every English teacher should read his books.

(Won from First Reads.)I can't do a proper review of this, because I was hopelessly lost. (What was I thinking, entering a contest for the sixth book in a complicated series I haven't read? It was just such an intriguing cover... ) But I did find it very, very funny. The humor is primarily book/lite...

I wasn't sure what to expect when I picked this up, and I'll admit I was a bit lost in the first few chapters... And then it all started to click. And when I say "all", I mean "ALL" because there's a LOT of stuff here!Character: One of the things that'll confuse you if you've never read this series ...
