I've heard mixed reviews about this adaption---I have yet to read the original one, so I cannot compare and contrast between the two books.

Man, this looks A-MA-ZING!! As long as they stay true to the descriptions (and make Anubis as hot as I imagine him to be :D) I'm sure it'll be great!!
I desperately wanted to like this book. I find Roman or Greek gods far more interesting than Egyptian. But Egyptian gods and culture have this certain exotic feel about them that Riordan didn't exploit. So now it's just like a Percy Jackson book. Unlike the Percy Jackson series, however, this book...
