Dezdemona je žrtva svoje moralnosti, a Otelo samo vatrena, priglupa životinja. Jago je savršeni cinik, majstor guljenja maski sa truleži, bog poricanja.

Othello is one of my FAVORITE William Shakespeare play. I think it is creepy, dark twisted and the most insane out of all of them and although I had to read it slowly, it still sucked me in.

In my opinion, Othello focuses upon one of Shakespeare's great literary devices. The misunderstandings between characters fuel this intelligent plot and provide grounds for Shakespeare to tantalize his audience. We the reader (or the viewer) recognise that of course Desdemona is innocent and that Ia...

3.5 stars... It's been a while since I have read a story with such a mean and heartless villain as Iago! And also, it's been a LONG while since I've read about a more naive hero than Othello. The big upside in this is that both Desdemona and Emilia are portrayed as quite strong and sure of themsel...

Well, this was underwhelming. Having not dug into Shakespeare in nearly ten years, it was a with great excitement that I tackled Othello (using Marjorie Garber's Shakespeare After All for guidance). Othello, like [b:The Wings of the Dove|124272|The Wings of the Dove (The Modern Library Classics)|Hen...

*2.5 stars*When I initially read this for my sophomore English class, I thought this a truly creepy play. Second time around, I’m still greatly disturbed by it. Desdemona is a dopey innocent child in comparison to her old man husband, a man described as being old enough to be her father. I’m not typ...

Read this in preparation for seeing it on the Boston Common tonight. This is probably the third time I've read the thing, and there's something weird about it; I like it, but I keep failing to love it. I feel like this is a personal problem; Othello's one of the best, everyone says so, right? And...

I read Othello in preparation for my A2 coursework, which I'm currently working on; and I enjoyed it even more than Hamlet, which is what we studied the year before. In its tale of betrayal and control, Othello is brutal in it's tragedy. Shakespeare's Iago is perhaps one of the most interesting char...
