I loved Volume 1 better than Volume 2 as I felt as if I was reading right along with the sound recording of the same novel. Beautifully done, I cannot say enough about this graphic novel except, do I have to return it to the library? Bright, crisp illustrations bring this dark tale to your fingertip...

Fills in Grave/Graveyard square on Halloween Bingo. The graphic novels are an adaption of Gaiman's novel by the same name. Volume 1 covers chapter one through the interlude; volume 2 covers chapter six to the end of the story. I only read Volume 1, but I felt it contained enough story to feel sati...

The Dark Horse Book of Hauntings has eight stories by various authors. I found this while browsing my library's catalog online. And it was a happy surprise find a Hellboy story in here! It is one of my favorite stories in this graphic novel. Some of the stories were okay, others I really enjoyed.I l...

Um, yes, please! This was brilliantly written, suspenseful, and the art was perfectly matched to the story. The characters are themselves, just in a different time, and it was nice to see how people like the Joker would fit into this alternate universe. Also, old-timey Jewish meat market. ...

The Graveyard Book is my second Neil Gaiman book, the first being Coraline. After reading Coraline, I thought that Neil Gaiman is the new Stephen King. Writing stories that creep and horrify, but after reading The Graveyard Book I realized I was dead wrong. Now, I am a fan. This book has opened my...

A graphic retelling of a book I absolutely love. This helped me picture out the scenes more vividly since when I read it, I was reading as fast as I could to know what happens next. As a result, the scenes I created inside my head were all kind of blurry; what with all the suspenses and creepiness, ...

At the outset, we hear Boy Blue's story of fleeing the Homelands on the last boat out during which he unwittingly leaves behind his love, Red Riding Hood. When Red shows up in Fabletown, there is at first jubilation as no Fable has escaped in centuries, followed quickly by suspicion, and events that...

My least favorite of the group, but I could have just been in a bad mood. Or maybe this one just wasn't for me. I enjoyed the other installments in the series that were short stories, this one just didn't take. However, it sets the stage for vol. 7, which might just be my favorite thus far. So, ya k...

Few books are more illustrated in my imagination when converted to a graphic form. Most of them suffer a loss at the hands of illustrators and hard edits. This story did not, the graphics added to the experience for me adding a feeling that had me dwelling on the pages admiring the details. I want m...

Wow. I didn't think this could best the first volume...but I was wrong. This volumes contains only three chapters but they pack a punch. We see Nobody attempts at school outside the the graveyard where he learns a greatdeal but calls far too much attention to himself. Then comes the great extravagan...
