This part two of the Fitzwilliam Darcy trilogy covers the time in Pride and Prejudice where the readers of Jane Austen don't see him. Not to give anything away, but boy, did he have a wild time of it!The plot is rather slow when he's in London and just spending time with his sister and his cousins, ...
Often I find it difficult to immerse myself in a book when I know how the story will end. Numerous well written variations on Arthurian legends, stories about Mary Queen of Scots or Cleopatra, all moldered on my bedside. Starting into the beloved story of Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy, I was worried tha...
An Assembly Such as This is the first book in a trilogy that relates the events of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice from the viewpoint of Mr. Darcy.I really loved how Pamela Aidan took the existing text and fleshed things out from Darcy's perspective. The writing is definitely modern as far as stru...
To me, this book, the final one of the trilogy, felt the most similar in style and voice to Pride and Prejudice. This book drew me in as well as entertaining me as I was able to experience the events with the knowledge of Elizabeth's point of view already secured - something poor Darcy had to do wit...
Not as good as the first or third part of the trilogy. Darcy is off by himself in the middle of Pride and Prejudice and either I don't care much what he was doing and/or his character doesn't ring true here.
