I marked this as a spoiler review even though I tried to remain vague in some ways due to the Big Secrets only the reader should experience first hand. So difficult to comment on these kinds of books as a result! Also, I was given this ebook by the publisher (amongst a few others) in exchange for cre...

4.5/5 Fantastic book! I really enjoyed it and read it in one sitting.First of all, don't read the synopsis - it's completely misleading which you will find out from the first couple of pages. What you need to know - it's about magic from a forgotten ancient civilisation, it's about a circus with a t...

Laura Lam’s debut YA novel is certainly different. It is bold and goes where not many YA novels go, pushing the envelope in very exciting ways and adding to the debate that is consciously (and unconsciously) raging about gender expressions. I started the book without any expectations as I have learn...

But Lam's clever way of telling the story, going back and forth between the past and the present ke...

My first thought after finishing Pantomime was that it couldn't be over. That ending left me wanting more. So many things happened in the last few pages that I need answers to. First off the writing in this book was amazing during the circus parts. I could vividly imagine exactly what was going on....

Um. This was an ambitious and creative work when it comes to originality for sure, but I don't think this was a complete book. That really frustrates me. I also can't help feeling a little underwhelmed with how things were executed after the 50% mark. Full review to come.

I need to figure out a way to review this book without giving anything away because even the tiniest of spoilers will be detrimental...but I enjoyed every page of this book. It was unlike anything I've ever read.Ok...lets try this. Pantomime is the story of a boy and a girl and their quest to live...
