SPOILERS!!! 2/4 - This took me more nights to finish than I expected, I thought I'd get it done in two nights of reading, unfortunately sleep decided to kidnap me a few nights in a row and I just couldn't manage as many pages as I was expecting to. I'm starting to find the 'kill Scarpetta's staff' t...
SPOILERS 30/3 - Like The Body Farm this book's title is false advertising. An even smaller portion of the book was dedicated to what's named in the title - the first victim is originally a Jane Doe and is buried in Potter's Field (her real identity is later discovered and she's moved to a family plo...
29/3 - I agree with the other reviewers who said that the title of this book is misleading, this book is more about the FBI than it is the body farm. It would have made more sense to name it Quantico or something else that refers to where a lot of the book is located, instead of a very interesting p...
SPOILERS!!!!! 26/3 - One of my favourite Scarpetta mysteries and another that gets to keep its five star rating. It sets up a long-running battle between Scarpetta and Gault and her continuing problems with the politicians/her bosses. I had forgotten the way things, big things, happen 'off screen' s...
23/3 - I just finished watching the last episode in season 10 of Bones on Foxtel and considering the fact that Channel 7 is only halfway through season 11 I don't think Foxtel will be getting its hands on it for some time, possibly not until next year even. Coming to the realisation that I might hav...
I'm trapped in bed with Strep Throat and Kay Scarpetta. This is a serious who-done-it that is working for me on all levels. This the kind of procedural mystery for me. We have a bad guy and the good guys that have no connection with each other other than the chase. Marino is becoming more well-roun...
This was a hard, dark gritty tale and the beginning of a long series. Kay is an odd woman to me hard one minute and being a kid when dealing with her mom. Her partner Pete Marino easily is the character that will cause me to come back to the series.
DNF @ page 221. I just couldn't do it. I needed to get this done before xmas to give to my mother (she loves PC) but it was just so bloody boring!! How one makes spybots, robots and conspiracy boring is beyond me. Kay was also completely self involved, oblivious & woe is me. Her relationship with ...
Another somewhat disappointing read, only because i had such high expectations. So many people have recommended this author to me, but i had so many issues with this book! I don't know if it was because of the era it was written, or just Cornwell's personal tastes or her writing ability but this boo...
