A nice, short story of what happened to Viola before meeting Todd. Nothing spectacular but not bad. This is not on the right book (I just came over from goodreads), it should be a prequel to the chaos walking series.

Very interesting. I will look for the other books in this series. This was a free book in the Kindle store.

A great prequel to one of my favorite series. I loved to see things from Viola's point of view. Love that Patrick Ness!

Short story about Viola's arrival. I liked meeting her parents. Her sullenness seemed about right, but did we really need a mean girl on the colony ship? That felt a little gratuitous, especially since we already know what Viola is made of.

AAAAHHH This was sooo good! Okay, so when I found out about it I thought it was a whole book, so I totally flipped out, but then I found out it was a free short story … Well, still pretty exciting! Nonetheless, I LOVED IT. DUH. I wish it had been longer! It was really cool to find out a little more ...
