Very very funny, extremely informative and the characters I remember even after reading it a year ago or so.

The writing was excellent, the characters were intriguing, but I just couldn't get into the story. This is a pre-goodreads book and at the time that I read this I was still in that stage of reading primarily contemporary YA. Stepping into another genre just wasn't something I was ready for. I have n...

I was happy that a challenge got me to read this one b/c it's been on my TBR list for quite a while. It was different, so I gave it 3★, but story-wise it was about 2 - 2.5 for me. Interesting take on vampires, loved the gory details of all the different types of real parasites and the story was .....

Rereading, before I get into the sequel. I'd forgotten what a light and comfortable writer Westerfeld is.Finished reread on 15/5/2012.

Kat Warren, this book is calling you.January 12, 2015As with so many other of my recent rereads, I liked this even better this time around. I wonder if that should be credited to n...

This book was quite entertaining and I would have given it 4-5 stars if it weren't for the ending. The ending seemed rushed and I thought, "is that it?" when I finished it. It seems like Westerfeld gets to a certain point (I'd say about 3/4 through writing a novel), and he's like "dang, how am I g...

This is probably one of Scott Westerfeld's weirdest and creepiest books, which takes place in a futuristic world where everyone is turning into vampire/zombie creatures. Although a little gross and bizarre at some points, it is overall a good story. If you like Scott Westerfeld, this book will not b...
