Not nearly as bad as the reviews on here might suggest. Of course, I could be a little biased. There were zombies in this. Yes, zombies. A bad black monster called Morphicus, a gentleman ghost, and a guest appearance by one of my childhood favorites... STATIC SHOCK!!! A.K.A. Static rounds out the ca...
This is amazing. Todd McFarlane may be the Creator but David Hine took it to a new level. Reading one of the other 300+ paged collections I was not as glued to as this one.The battle of God and Satan, which is Wanda's twins. The rebirth of Spawn for a third time. This is a must read for Spawn fans...
This was a lead-up to the big Blackest Night event. It's very short, and the sole purpose is to introduce Larfleeze and the Orange Lanterns. Orange Lantern, really, as Larfleeze is too greedy to allow anyone else to have an orange ring. Orange being the light of greed, you see. Considering that I re...
If the reason I read the Batman R.I.P. arc was for this, I'm so freaking glad. I LOVED THIS SO MUCH and I really didn't expect it to be as awesome as I thought it was. Bloody, brutal, and brilliant "Batman"!
I really like Dick Grayson as Batman. He brings a very different feel to the cowl. Bruce's son, Damian, makes a good Robin for Dick's Batman. He's not quite the infuriating little brat he was when he first showed up, though he's still a brat. They're great characters, with a great dynamic, and their...
Greg Rucka can do so much better than this. In fact, this might be the least successful thing that I've read by him. There are sparks of what made me enjoy his work in the past, mostly in the form of Renee Montoya, now working as The Question. But there's an awful lot of standing around talking in c...
This was not a consistently interesting read, and I really hate reading Pyg's dialogues. But putting a naked Batman and Robin in front of a webcam for a www.unmasking was a fun moment- I only wish they had capitalized on the suspense it could have had.
I like some of the new (or new-ish) villains we get here, like Professor Pyg, and Edwardo Flaminco, and I really like Dick Grayson as Batman. However, I don't like Damien Wayne as Robin - his behavior is like that of a super-villain. Admittedly he was raised by super-villains (the League of Assassin...
I thought the story was interesting and it was the best someone could do with a Dick/Damian partership. I enjoyed the bright colour panels, a nice contrast to a Bruce Wayne batman comic book.
Batman Reborn: In their first case as Batman & Robin, Dick Grayson and Damian Wayne take on Professor Pyg and the Circus of the Strange.I'll be honest, despite reading comics off and on for the last 30-ish years, I haven't read all that many Batman comics. When I heard Grant Morrison was doing the ...
