Real rating : 4.5Here's a book that has everything. It's in my Top 5 of ID series. An excellent case, well constructed. I love it when a book succeeds in surprising me. This one definitely had that cover. I love photography and photographs. Those exhibitions of photographs are really beautiful and I...

This is one of my favorite In Death books. Lori recently read and reviewed it (her first time!) and it made me want to re-read it. I'm so glad I did..I loved revisiting an earlier novel and seeing Eve and Roarke still battling to figure things out in their marriage.I especially like this one because...

4.5 stars. While I found the mystery a little lackluster, it was the smallest focus of the book. Roarke learns a lot about his history, and much of the first 2/3 of the book is focused on this, and on his feelings about it. We get to see Trueheart getting more time with the team, and the relationshi...

If it weren't for the average mystery of this novel, Portrait in Death would have received a 5/5. I loved how I got to learn more about Roarke. I really empathized with everything he was going through. The personal relationships are great as well. This is one of the few series that I care about what...

This was a creepy one of a killer posing his victims after they have been killed. It was a good mystery with Eve figuring it all out as she "stands for the dead". Another good and easy read.

And while Eve is busily off tracking down a serial killer, Roarke learns a devastating truth about his past.JD Rob...
