Prince Had a Son

Prince actually had a son with his former wife Mayte and his name was Boy Gregory. He was born on October 16, 1996.

Sadly, Boy Gregory was born a month premature and he was diagnosed with Pfeiffer Syndrome and passed away a week later.

Pfeiffer syndrome is a genetic disorder characterized by the premature fusion of certain skull bones which affects the shape of the head and face mostly.

Mayte was later quoted saying “He’s with our son now” after Princes’death.

Prince did not swear

Prince actually keeps a swear jar to prevent his friends and family members from swearing, and it’s $20 per curse word. He also publicly declared himself as having stopped swearing or using vile language in writing his music and in his personal life. His decision not to swear may be partly due to his strong religious belief. He was a Seventh-day Adventist as a kid, and later converted to Jehovah’s Witness in 1997.

Prince is responsible for the Parental Advisory sticker

In 1984, after getting the Purple Rain soundtrack for her then-11-year-old daughter, Tipper Gore, who was the ex-wife of former Vice President Al Gore, became upset over the explicit lyrics of the song Darling Nikki. The song has strong references to masturbation and other graphic sex acts and Gore felt that there should be some sort of caution on the label. In 1985, the Parents Music Resource Center pressured the recording industry to create a rating system similar to the one done in Hollywood. To Prince's credit, he did not oppose the label system and was one of the first artists to release a clean version of the explicit albums.
