I think the second book in the series in order of writing - quite readable, but not as good as "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe". There isn't much left of the engaging zaniness from the first book (Mrs. Beaver's sewing machine, etc)... this version of Narnia is more a stock late-medieval world ...
Started 1-13-10.Liked it more! than I remember having enjoyed it the first time. Nice to find Aslan again. I really wonder what it would be like to be ... a Hindu ... a Muslim ... a Jew ... adhering to belief in a religion with no familiarity with the Christian story, and reading this series.
