Entertaining and easy read for a relaxing Saturday. Noting the title, the setting of each short story is obviously at the prom so it got a little bit repetitive. but, at least, the 'paranormal' side of things are all different (eg. only one vampire story, one demon / angel story, etc) so that's the...

I've had this book for a long time and just hadn't gotten around to reading it. I decided I was long overdue for some good paranormal fun, and picked it up yesterday. It was worth the couple of hours it took to read it. It delivered nicely on its promise to entertain.I thought the stories were fun, ...

I only read the Kim Harrison story. Madison Avery from her YA series, is going to the Prom. Her life is turned upside down when she discovers she is a pity date. The one that rides in to her rescue is not anything she can imagine.Fun, quick, a definite read for series fans.

Pretty lackluster collection overall. Harrison's contribution was interesting because it's clearly the precursor for the novel that followed two years later & I liked Myracle's retelling of the 'careful what you wish for' story. It was basic but the writing was at least lively. Cabot's entry was ...

I love a good, well constructed short story. Unfortunately there's few of those in here. Most left me feeling rather unsatisfied and disappointed. Especially because there were some nice ideas in there that could of been turned into something special. I quite like the one by Steph Meyer. It see...

The Exterminator's Daughter - 3 1/2 Stars - Very quick read but enjoyable. I wonder if there is a follow up piece. The Corsage - 2 1/2 - I really did feel for Frankie and Will but what a crappy ending. Why didn't she just wish things were like they were before she got the stupid corsage? Madison Ave...

Take three authors I have read previously, and two I haven't. Add in a variety of supernatural factors and set it all around that event that television tells me is an American rite of passage, and what do you get? Prom Nights From Hell, an anthology that starts off very well before puttering out in ...

Disappointing stories with no endingsPROM NIGHTS FROM HELL is an anthology composed of five paranormal romances from five young adult authors: Meg Cabot, Kim Harrison, Michele Jaffe, Stephenie Meyer, and Lauren Myracle. I picked this up after reading the sister anthology, Love Is Hell, which I enjoy...

Eh. I picked this up to read the short story by Kim Harrison. Her story, Madison Avery and the Dim Reaper, introduces a new main character and is the basis for an upcoming full-length book and presumably, series. I admit that I'm getting tired of the Rachel Morgan series of late and this new off...
