I can see why others would love this book, but I'm not one of those people. I simply lost interest half way through. Maybe it's because I'd seen and loved the film first.

Obviously this is a book about overcoming the loss of a loved one. Herein, you will find Holly mourning for her late husband. A LOT. I found it repetitive during the later half of the book, but was rewarded with a book that is what is advertised: a funny, tearful adventure about Holly after Gerry.
Oh my goodness. I cried at least five times. This book is so touching. It's hard to think about being in Holly's shoes, but it's easy to see why she feels those specific emotions. Her friends see her through the trials of losing her husband, and the letters are so endearing. What a thoughtful husban...
