I started out absolutely loving this book. The intricate world-building, beautiful descriptions, and slow build-up that hinted at secrets yet to be uncovered were all right up my street. The descriptions of the macabre fusings were especially fascinating, and appealed to my rather twisted side. I lo...

I was a little disappointed. I felt the characters weren't as emotional as they should be.

I'm not giving any stars because I didn't read enough of the book to honestly rate it. I couldn't even get through the first chapter. The writing was trying way too hard, but in all the wrong ways. It was sloppy, sloppy prose that tried to hide that fact by dressing things up with symbolism and a...

This book was fantastic. Well-written, a definite page-turner, and a great read for anyone wanting something a little darker than the regular teen post-apocalyptic novels. Can't wait to read the sequel!

This book. I sort of liked it and I sort of didn't. But as you can see, liked it more than disliked it. (; Four stars!I've been wanting to read this book for quite a while, first of all, because the cover is GORGEOUS (Simple covers tend to be gorgeous) and the title is so creative and the summary is...
One Book Away From an Episode of Hoarders
This story started out slowly. It didn't lag but it almost leisurely built the world around my mind. I was distracted by the descriptions and varying viewpoints and then suddenly I realized that I was quite trapped by the story and characters within. This is a dark and gritty world (not as much as so...

The very basic premise isn't particularly original. There's a very well off society and a destitute society and the destitute people want to be where the well off people are and there's one well off person who ends up in the destitute society and had no idea what it was like to live there. What ma...

I thought this book was good. A tad reminiscent of Hunger Games and that genre of book that is popular in the YA area. I found it to be much more interesting in the beginning and found it lost my interest more towards the end. The writing was a bit light for me, but it was a Young Adult book so I ne...
