I really loved reading Ultraviolet by author R.J. Anderson so when I started to read Quicksilver, the companion novel to the series, I was seriously freaking out. I mean, when I read Ultraviolet there was so much mystery and not-knowing that it had me addicted and dying to find out what would happen...

4.5 starsQuicksilver in the follow-up to Ultraviolet, which I enjoyed but struggled to love. Quicksilver on the other hand was surprisingly different from its predecessor, although with the same basic characters and continuing problems in terms of bad guys etc.. But instead of Alison and her synesth...

*Genre* Science Fiction*Rating* 4.0*Full Review shortly*Unless I'm missing something obvious, which is probably the fact, I think this is the last book in the Ultraviolet series. Quicksilver switches POV's from Alison to Tori Beaugrand. Tori is such an interesting character that you just find yourse...

A very original book, and wonderful companion to Ultraviolet. It is well-written, suspenseful, and not your typical YA paranormal book. Synesthesia, asexuality, racism, defying stereotypes... this book went there and more. As a sci-fi fan, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and as a female engineer I thoro...

I won't be reading anymore of Anderson's books, i don't think. This book wasn't bad, but it wasn't that exciting either. I just feel and overwhelming sense of apathy. *Yawn* On to the next.

Holy awesome wows... this is possibly just as good as the first novel! where Allison was all color and impressions, Tori's more straightforward. Well, as straightforward as one in her position could get. I am struggling to serve up an accurate description of the lead in this one without giving anyth...

Ultraviolet was an incredibly original sci-fi novel that I enjoyed immensely last year. I was thrilled to find out that Quicksilver was coming out as a companion novel and was so pleased that it was quite possibly better than its predecessor.Tori knows that its only a matter of time before her past ...
