Marian Keyes is one of my favorite authors, nonfantasy speaking. She took one of my favorite peripheral characters from two other novels and made a funny, affecting and touching book about drugs, coping, love and life.Rachel is a mess. Worse, she's a very complicated mess. She's also one of my favor...
i don't think she needed 600 pgs to tell this story. the detox part was interesting, but too long. it was a fast read anyway, and quite relaxing. But Sushi for Beginners was better.
I've yet to find a MK book I didn't like, and this was no exception. I have no personal experience with addictions, so I found it very interesting to read. I wonder how true to real life it is, but it seemed very realistic.
