It’s an ok novel and I breezed through it quickly enough. It’s certainly a harmless, fluffy book. But I’m not particularly feeling the need to pick up the next one. It’s a 2.5 star book for sure, enjoyable but only if you don’t think about it.
3.5 Review to come.
3.5 stars. A linear story built around the theme of interracial marriage, with nice characters and a nightmarish mother-in-law. I love to read her stuff because she resists cliches at every single turn, and isn't giving in to pressure and creating whatever kind of romance is fashionable at the minute....
What I loved: The setup: political alliance through marriage between two mature and accepting parties. They are different species and find each other seriously unattractive, but are determined to make the best of things. Absolutely fabulously free of fuss, angst or drama and instead has a lot of un...
