Kleypas seems to have an issue with pacing. It's not a dealbreaker or anything, but it does seem like she looked at how many pages she was at, freaked out, and rushed to resolve everything within twenty pages. And what is with the, "Hey, I just met you and this is crazy, but I love you, marry me may...

Rainshadow Road was very enjoyable. I love this family and how their relationships are changing. The H&H were perfect for each other. It was refreshing to see them take their time to get to know each other before their HEA. I look forward to the next book!

*I won this book in the Goodreads First Reads Giveaway*I love, love, LOVED this book! I have to say going in to it that I was a little unsure because of the role of magic in the book, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked for me. The author used a light touch with it that I appreciate...

Rainshadow Road by Lisa KleypasLucy is now treated different because Alice as a child had meningitis and everybody had to cater to her.Love how the neighbor, when Lucy is there while the parents went to have Alice checked out with the doctors, explains about the art and glass, melted and how it make...
Anna Bobs Her Hair - Silent Reader, Talking Books
Grade: A or 4.5…Loved this story! ”I live at the end of Rainshadow Road,” Sam said from behind her. “At the vineyard on False Bay. Come for a visit, and I’ll open a bottle of wine. We’ll talk about anything you want.” He paused. “Any time.”Lucy cast a bleak smile over her shoulder. “Thank yo...

This is my first attempt to read Lisa Kleypas, and it definitely won't be my last. One of those books that is just impossible to put down (I had to last night, because my laptop gave up on me, and I didn't have the energy to get it charge not that you're interested to know anyway, lol.) So anyways, ...
Goat Heads and Sand Burrs, P. Kirby's Reading Blog
This is one where I vacillated between rating three and four stars, and where Goodreads' insistence on not allowing half stars really gets my knickers in a twist. Technically, I give Rainshadow Road 3.5 stars, but I've got the warm fuzzy wuzzies again, so I'll round up to 4.0.Lucy Marinn thinks it's...

3.5 stars. This is definitely not as good or compelling as Kleypas's other series such as the Wallflowers, the Hathaways, or the Travises. However, it still has that pull and well written format that defines Lisa Kleypas's books. I was disappointed with the first in the Friday Harbor series, disa...

Lisa Kleypas is one of my favorite authors and this book did not disappoint me. I fell in love with the characters. I found Lucy very relatable. Just when I thought this book was going to take a predictable path, Lisa would take that possibility away or go in a completely different direction. I rea...
