3.5 stars. The ending was kind of blah and abrupt. I mean, the author spent a ton of time setting up the raid, and I do mean a TON. Then it was basically Breaking Dawn revisited....the heroes rode in and slayed the bad guys without much opposition.I kept thinking, there's gotta be a twist coming ...
4/5; 4 stars; A-I'm glad I finally got around to reading this book. I bought it shortly after reading Rajmund but wasn't inspired. Raphael is a good paranormal romance with a kick ass heroine and a good mix of other characters.
The paranormal world is flooded with the same vampire story after vampire story, each seemingly inbreeding each other. Ms. Reynolds brings new depth into the vampire lore while still not making them all emo shinny vamps! The first two books are really the love story of Raphael and Cyn, so be prepare...
Rating 3.5I enjoyed the writing, it reminded me of the Guild Hunter series, a powerful vampire master needing the help of our human, kick-ass heroine. The book had heat, violence and the heroine was resourceful and strong. The next book is a continuiation, since the hero and heroine don't end up toge...
Cynthia is a private eye, former cop, who finds herself employed by a vampire, to find someone who´s been kidnapped. Raphael is a Vampire Lord, powerful and not used to anyone, least of all a human, not taking cover when he bristles. She´s a kick ass heroine and i loved seeing her take charge and not...
For some reason, I was thinking of this book as some obscure, new author. And after reading her little ditty after the book, I realize that she was very new, as this was her first book. But it sure didn't seem like it. I was really surprised at the world that she has here. She didn't spend a lot...
Vampires in America is a fantastic series to bite into. Raphael the powerful and charismatic Vampire Lord. Cynthia Leighton a smart, tough and sexy, private investigator and former cop. This is a great combination. Not the virginal and naive heroine verses the ancient testosterone filled vamp with...
4 1/2 stars!Refreshingly different from the normal paranormal romances! The characters were wonderful, strong and independent. Without giving too much away, the ending wasn't a fairy tale one, but it was satisfying in a "we live in the real world" sort of way. I am very impressed with this author...
