The sequel to A Great and Terrible Beauty this is a weaker book than the previous one. It takes the story of the four girls forward to the end of the year. The lure of the otherworld proves to be too much for the girls, even with Christmas balls and celebrations. Not quite as good as the first bu...

I like this series much more the second time around. I can appreciate Bray's talents more, though I do think some aspects still need some work. What I like best about this series is how creepy it is, how gothic, and how entertained I am while reading. It may suffer from some plot issues and characte...

As you may or may not know, I wasn't a big fan of A Great and Terrible Beauty. I enjoyed seeing Felicity grow and show a more vulnerable side. -The change in Gemma. I felt she really...

If you're into mid-1800s England, teen girl drama, and angsty fantasy, I would highly recommend this (after you read the other Libba Bray book in this series, of course) novel. If you have a very vivid imagination like me, however, don't read it at 1am in a dark house by yourself.

This is one of my all time favorite series. It's the first set of books I really loved after the twilight saga. Super imaginative, and a pleasure to read. I read all three within 2 weeks, and it was the kind of book where you're sad it's over. Would recommend to anyone.

One was pretty. One was clever. One...

Amazing! Simply amazing! This book, the second in the Gemma Doyle Trilogy, is definitely better than the first. I love this book so much! I can't even begin to tell you how much.
