I enjoyed this book. There were a lot of twists and turns that kept me wanting to read. I did not see a lot of the twists coming at all. I enjoyed Aveyard's writing style. Can't wait for the second book!

In her debut novel and first book in a new series, Victoria Aveyard takes the reader to a world divided by blood and powers, those who have them and those who do not, but one girl is about to change everything: Mare Barrow lives in a world where your blood decides your fate. If you are born a Silver...

4.75 starsI loved this one. I had a feeling how things were going to go all along (I was correct about most), but I wasn't certain so I appreciate how it pulled the feelings from me. I hope to one day see this in film, and I can't wait to read the next in the series.I would categorize this as YA d...

This was like a mix of Red Rising by Pierce Brown and Young Elites by Marie Lu. This fell short for me... it just read like too many other things I've read. If I didn't read so much dystopian on YA, then this might be a really cool book. But, I do. So, this wasn't. Sorry Aveyard, but I will probably...

It was okay, I guess... I'd read the next one, but then again I might not. The biggest issue I have with this book is the way everybody just falls in love with Mare without any provocation or reason or anything... She was pretty bland in my opinion, and I just really don't get it... maybe I'm just t...

*I solemnly swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth so help me God* Publishing Information: Orion, February 2015 Safety Rating: PG-13 (If I remember correctly, a couple of bad words and heavy violence...suggested for ages 13 and up) The one thing that stands...

LIAR LIAR – PEN ON FIRE!!! I can't say that I can hold any respect for Victoria Aveyard. That wasn't my call, it was completely hers. To take someone else's intellectual property, someone else's successful project, then steal it's construction frame, fill it with recycled second grade product and ca...

* A solid read - I'm not itching to go buy a copy of my own, but probably will when a sequel is released. Also, just announced - books 3 & 4 in the series are now under contract. A bit like other books: - The world feels a bit like that of The Hunger Games, with the amphitheater fighting. - Some...

Well played.. well played... that ended. The book was so-so until about half way through and then it was like amazing! So many twists and turns. Honestly there was no way in hell I would have ever seen it going the way it did. glad I finally picked it up.

"Anyone can betray anyone."This quote from the book is one of the main highlights of the novel. You cannot and should not trust anyone, at least not so easily. Reds and Silvers. This is how the country is divided. The lowly and rhe royalties. The servants and the Gods. But, just like other stor...
