I sat on this book for years; I have no clue why...somehow (for no reason whatsoever!) I associated it in my mind with Deliverance...which I far-more-than-hated and with which it has NOTHING in common. (Well, horror...but people-behavior-horror and sci-fi-monster-type horror don't belong in the sam...

This failed as a horror novel for me but did okay as more of a supernatural thriller. It was definitely more Jurassic Park than Texas Chainsaw Massacre but still decent for what it was.

I TRY THIS book because I read some other books by the same authors and I enjoy the feeling they gave me. It was a thrilling ride throught the Museum with a mystery of a beast, like the aligators in the sewers. The book is full of action, history and mystery. Pendergast is not the main character as ...

This one is a re-read for me. I read the book right after the movie came out because I loved the film so much. I found Chuck Palahniuk and Thomas Harris the same way. Fight Club and Silence of the Lambs were both movies I had no idea were originally books. As with most film adaptations, the books we...

I have a new series to follow...it's been so long! So it's completely absurd and all, but I love it anyway.

A fun thriller. Although the story was familiar to me, it was a real page-turner nonetheless. The ending was not as satisfying as I would have hoped but that did not take away the fact that I thoroughly enjoyed this books. I will definitely continue with this series as I want to see how Pendergast i...

Again, I just don't have the energy for a full review after so long. It was decent. I will probably read the next book in the series to see how it goes. I found the characters and the mystery interesting but much of it was dull or confusing and made this book seem a lot longer than it was.

First off, I read the audio book after seeing a friend's review. Do not like many of the New York voices of the reader, so I will seek out a different way to read subsequent books. Second, it seems the authors planned for a sequel, but not necessarily a series. Either that or they just like a quirky...

Preston and Child would have to rank as two of my favourite authors. How can you go past characters like Pendergast and D'Agosta?I'm going to gradually make my way through the Pendergast series over the coming months, having bought most of them. The only uncertainty is whether or not I'll re-read Ce...
