Swoon. This is just what I needed to read. It's silly, it's slightly over the top but, most of all, it is utterly romantic. I laughed, I raged, I let out more than one squee!, I even cried a little. All of July I was feeling a bit like Ransom, the hero of our story. Angry, jaded, completely p...
Just bizarre. It has some intentionally very funny moments, but overall it makes almost no sense. (I realize that making sense is not exactly a requirement for a romance, but I tend to enjoy a story more if there is some rhyme or reason to it.)
No creature in this world could bolt so quickly as a rake confronted with the word “marriage”. They ought to shout it out at footraces rather than using starting pistols.Ready, steady…matrimony!I immensely enjoyed this book. It was funny, sweet, romantic, and just left me feeling all gooey inside. A...
Oh I loved this truly cheesy fairytale romance!! Isolde ‘Izzy’ Goodnight has dreamed of a fairytale life most of her life but as she grows older and reality sets in she lets go of her fantasies one by one. Then one day she finds herself barely surviving after the death of her father only to receiv...
Absolutely adored this book! This is what I want out of my HRs: an intriguing story, rich characters, sexual chemistry, wonderful, WONDERFUL dialogue, and lovely dashes of laugh-out-loud humor sprinkled throughout. That's why I read Ms. Dare. She never lets me down.
Okay, just a couple small issues. This is quite obviously a historical romance, but the historical part seems a bit off. Because I really don't think that there were LARPers in Regency England. And authors of the 19th century certainly didn't have fanclubs. These are very modern developments and tota...
I really like Tessa Dare. She has a way with those marginalized Regency females that is always witty and steamy and fun. A plain girl, a blind duke and two people seeing each other for who they really are in a mouldering castle against a backdrop of a princess bedtime story. It's all good.
This was one of Tessa Dare's best! I loved it from beginning to end. It was romantic and funny and a little magical what with the Goodnight Tales.Izzy is the daughter of the late author of the Goodnight Tales. The Tales are a very popular series of bedtimes stories that the author tells to a nine ye...
