Jane Foster is trying to deal with her mortality and the temptation not to put down the hammer. She's trying to get Thor Odinson to understand why she has done what she has done. Meanwhile Malekith is encouraging war between the worlds and when some delegates to go help the Dwarves, Volstaag is con...
Jason Aaron is always solid, and the art (Russel Dauterman for most, and Jorge Molina) is really great as well. They took one of the most inexplicable moments from Original Sins and made something fun out of it.
Episode 1 of several Marvel Superheroines. I had previously read Thor and Ms Marvel and found both quite good, this added some heroines to graphic novels I have to search out. She-Hulk looks very interesting but Unbeatable Squirrel Girl is not my type.
Seems like Thor has become unworthy to wield the hammer. A new Thor claims the hammer and is female. No one knows anything about her. She's not sure why the hammer has claimed her and she's off to fight the bad guys. This is not a genre I read much. I felt like I dropped into the middle of the story...
This volume had some great moments! This has been an interesting ride so far and I'm intrigued to see where this series goes. Allow me to get the negative out of the way first. I did not particularly enjoy (and maybe didn't finish.....) the extra stuff in this voume. The annual was cute but unnecess...
Loki tells a story set in Viking days. It's about someone who stopped praying to Thor, was brought low, and prayed to Loki to have the strength to bring Thor down. And it just didn't really work for me, especially since it ended mid-story. Blargh. I'll read the end when it shows up on MU jus...
There are multiple betrayals, and all of them were unexpected. At least of me. Not the fact that these people betrayed the others, but rather the hows and how one character appeared to be remorseful about his betrayal. The second war in Asgard comes to a sudden end, in a way I didn't foresee. ...
One is ending - the one between the dark and light elves - and one is starting. While this issue deals a lot with how the elves end their war - a marriage - and what a mistake this is on the light elves' side of things, a good deal has to do with Freya's trial and Odin's tyranny and how that's sti...
Loki wants to talk. Thor calls bullshit. A fight ensues between Lady Thor and Lady Loki. It's got rather more to it, about Loki being splintered into all these parts, and about what you do when faced with someone who tried to kill you the first time you met. About parlays and betrayals, and...
