This book had so much potential, but a few easily-corrected flaws knocked it back. The author is a talented writer (I hope they corrected all those errors in the foreword from my preview copy) and the setting is beautiful (the book directly mentions Sleepless in Seattle’s inspiration). Mix in myster...
3.5 star readI have read and enjoyed numerous other books by Ms. Jio and MORNING GLORY is no exception. I constantly enjoy the way the author weaves the stories from the past and present into one cohesive storyline. For awhile I actually thought this story could have been titled MOURNING GLORY and ...
This novel really reinforced my love for all of Sarah Jio's novels. This does follow the same vein of most of her other novels as that it follows two women (one from the past and one from the present) that are struggling with sadness in their life. Ada is the woman from the present and she is strugg...

I read an ARC of this book and loved it. As usual with Sarah Jio's books, the setting was what made the book and I wanted to be there. I especially loved the addition of the ducks' story.
A slight parallel of an earlier romance that is written about in a diary. I loved the book until the ending, which I found unbelievable. I accept a lot when a book is written as a fantasy but when it's written as pure fiction, then it has to make a little sense. So my rating would have been about...
I liked the story concept and it sucked me in fairly quickly. I thought some of the flashbacks were introduced rather clumsily and I found the ending forced.
