I read this as a teenager sometime after finishing Gone With the Wind. I liked it, essentially, but even at 15 I could sense the feel of the characters was off. A reread is probably in order, but I normally don't like sequels by other authors, so this one is fairly low on my list.

Of course it doesn't hold up to GWTW, but on its own it's not a bad story. I personally think we shouldn't mess with any more GWTW sequels.
