A real up and down book for me. Some parts I loved so much I considered giving it 5 stars, other parts dragged or didn't fit.

This story is right up to my cup of tea. Enough romance and violence to suit the dark world where this book lived. Although I'm a bit disappointed with the previous book, this one had grant me enough faith in the series.Carling, the vampyre sorceress councillor for the Nighkind, was having difficult...

So good. I loved how completely gone Rune was over Khepri. Time travel usually pisses me off, but it worked here.

Although Serpent's Kiss is not as fantastic as Dragon Bound it's miles better than Storm's Heart. I've already mentioned that my biggest problem with the previous book was lack of spark between the couple. Tiago's character and constant moodiness didn't help.Rune and Carling on the other hand suit e...

I enjoyed Rune and Carling's story much more than Tiago and Niniane's story in book #2. Their journey to be together was pretty interesting although the ending a bit anticlimactic. Still it was entertaining and I would definitely read the next in the series.

This was a good book and I really liked Carling. She was going through some personal stuff, but she didn't become a wishy-washy character. She remained a strong character. Rune was pretty great as well. One of my friends made the comment, that these guys seem pretty modern for having been Y years ...
