In her debut novel Amanda Bonilla introduces the reader to a new world where the light and dark may not be what you expect.Darian was made, loved and then left by her creator Azriel. Darian needed to learn how to survive on her own and with her unique skills of a shaede becoming an assassin was the ...

Basically, a unintelligent being with an overinflated opinion of herself gets beat up by anything not human, still never learns, and is annoyingly vulnerable to masculine good looks. She also pretends to be humble while drooling over her own good looks.

So this was something new! The first book of this series left me with mixed feelings! At the begining I couldn't figure out where it was going, which was refreshing, but I wished that some scenes would have a little less detail and move on faster...Darian, the main character, is not one of the usual...

Reviewed by: Rabid ReadsShaedes of Gray almost felt like two separate stories that were merged into one to make a full length novel. Normally the cracks would show from attempting such a feat but in this case a neat reverse funnel effect was created. I admire Amanda Bonilla for taking on such a chal...
